TIPS FOR A PERFECT WATER PIPE
STEP 1 : Fill the bottle with water

Carefully remove the pipe from the bottle. Be careful not to grip the hose connection and the valve too tightly as they cannot stand repeated hard twisting. Fill the bottle with water so that the end of the pipe tube is about 3 cm below the surface of the water. Then put the pipe in the bottle again (ensure that the rubber seal is placed correctly around the pipe). Carefully twist the pipe into place in the bottle.
Tip: Be very careful when filling the bottle with water. If the pipe is more than 3 cm below the surface of the water, it will be difficult to draw the smoke through the water. If there is too little water in the bottle, you risk not having the smoke filtered by the water.
STEP 2 : Shredding the tobacco

It is now time to fill the clay bowl with tobacco. The tobacco is supplied in compressed form, and to get the best taste it is important to shred the tobacco before filling the clay bowl.
Fill the clay bowl with the tobacco

The loose tobacco should be sprinkled into the clay bowl but only to the lower edge of the rim. It is important for the taste that the tobacco not touch the aluminum foil or the charcoal, as this will give a more acrid taste. If the tobacco needs pressing down a little, this should be done very carefully.
Tip: Pressing the tobacco too tightly in the clay bowl will block the holes and increase resistance. You can test if you have filled the tobacco in the clay bowl correctly by putting it on the pipe and sucking on the hose. The pipe should draw relatively easily
STEP 3 : Fold the aluminum foil over the clay top

You should now take a piece of aluminum foil about 10 x 10 cm in size, which you place over the center of the clay bowl with the glossy side downward (to better preserve the heat from the charcoal). Fold the edges over the rim and press against the clay bowl. Press all the way around to ensure it is airtight.
STEP 4 : Prick holes in the aluminum foil

Use a matchstick or a paper clip to make a lot of small holes in the aluminum foil. Now the clay bowl is ready for placing on top of the hookah. By taking the mouthpiece and sucking you can now check whether the pipe has been correctly set up. The pipe should draw relatively easily when you suck.
STEP 5 : Light the charcoal

Lighting the charcoal is the last step before serving. Hold the charcoal in the charcoal tongs and light it with a lighter. Direct the flame over the whole of the charcoal and when it is sparking properly put it in the ash tray for about one minute. The charcoal will now start to glow and may emit some smoke. Once the charcoal has stopped smoking, it is ready for use. Place it on the aluminum foil, take your mouthpiece and stoke up the pipe. This means that you draw 3 to 5 times to suck smoke into the bottle. The hookah is now ready for use.
Tip: Never use any other charcoal besides that especially made for hookahs. Other types of charcoal may contain chemicals and cause discomfort to the smoker.
